The following vaccines are available at Cara Direct Care:
- Inactivated influenza vaccine (injection) (6 months and older)
- High Dose Influenza (65 years and older)
INTRANASAL INFLUENZA VACCINES ARE NOT AVAILABLE!
WHY DO I NEED TO GET A FLU SHOT?
It may be a nasty flu season this year. The Covid pandemic with widespread masking and social distancing measures have kept the flu activity very low the past few years. Please mask in public if you have flu or cold symptoms to protect our community.
CARA DIRECT CARE CONTINUES TO FOLLOW MANDATED MASKING IN MEDICAL FACILITIES. PLEASE WEAR A MASK OR ONE WILL BE PROVIDED (AT A CHARGE OF $2.00.)

WHEN CAN I GET A FLU SHOT AT CARA DIRECT CARE?
FLU SHOT CLINIC DATES:
Tuesday Sept 20th 1-3pm
Tuesday Sept 27th 1-5pm
Wednesday Oct 5th 8-12am
You may schedule up to 3 adults or 1 adult and 2 children per time slot.
PRICING:
Insured Patients (Commerical/Medicare): Usually FREE (staff will verify coverage)
Uninsured Patients /Self Pay: $25.00
DO NOT SCHEDULE YOUR VACCINE USING THIS FORM if you have any of the following.
- You have HMO insurance (to verify coverage)
- You have any questions about the flu vaccine to discuss.
- You have answered YES to any questions below either for yourself or named dependent(s).
Instead, please call Cara Direct Care to discuss with Dr Ryan.

PHARMACY: All the major retail pharmacies have walk in flu vaccines available and generally take insurance. If you cannot make it to Cara Direct Care and are paying cash, consider getting your flu shot at Elm Plaza Pharmacy in Hinsdale. This independent pharmacy is also charging $25 and is open on Saturdays.
