COVID 19 Vaccine: Where can I get the vaccine?

Updated: Apr 2, 2021

Recent update 3.31.21

LIST OF CHICAGOLAND VACCINATION SITES:

Phase 1C of the IDPH COVID 19 mass vaccine rollout plan opened today for an expanded group of essential workers. Not all sites are currently serving Phase 1C individuals.

Click below to check eligibility for:

Phase 1A; Phase 1B; Phase 1C

There are now multiple vaccination sites available throughout Chicagoland. This is an updated version of our 1.23.21 post for vaccine sign up links. NEW: we have all the TIPS AND TRICKS to get scheduled quickly, courtesy of our Vaccine Volunteer Extraordinaire, Christine Blanek, who has already helped 115 seniors to find vaccine appointments and has graciously agreed to help our Cara Direct Care team and local volunteers to streamline the process.

Cara Direct Care patients who are eligible for the vaccine at this time should take the first opportunity they can to get vaccinated, for their safety, that of their families and communities.

TIPS:

- Sign up for every mailing list that you can (see below)

- Check your email several times daily

- Take the first vaccine appointment that you can successfully schedule

- DO NOT SHARE YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER OVER THE PHONE. This is not required and should be considered as suspicious.

Please see our list of local vaccination sites sign up links below - please feel free to share these resources with others.

COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENTS

Everyone should sign up for your county vaccine notification emails. Every county health department now has a sign up link to be put in their system. If you live in one county and work in another, you are eligible to sign up in both counties. Many who have signed up for county updates have been emailed a link to schedule their vaccines already. Many counties have recently begun mass vaccination events.

Click on the links below and sign up on your respective county website (s) for updates.

Register on this website to receive a personal code. You will receive email alerts when new appointments become available. You can search for appointments or call the Hotline instead of looking online.

Tip: Call the Hotline - it is easier to get an appointment this way. Best time to call is Monday/Tuesday at 7am. Average wait time to get a person is less than 15 minutes, but do not hang up, keep holding. If busy, keep trying the number, you will get through eventually.

Phone number: 1-833-308-1988

Register on this website. You will receive email alerts when new appointments become available. There is no Hotline. We have not had much success with scheduling through Dupage County. It is a waiting game - keep checking your email.
