FOR OLDER PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC CONDITIONS
Please consider staying home from nonessential outings and social events. Avoid shaking hands, hugging or kissing social contacts as much as possible. Carry hand sanitizer, wash your hands for 20 seconds each time and multiple times daily.

For those of you traveling for spring break, please consider carefully. While young families are at lowest risk of severe symptoms, you may be quarantined in another place for weeks if you are exposed. Please consider driving instead of flying if you can. The US has been slow in providing testing to health departments and so there are many cases which have not been reported.
WHAT SHOULD YOU DO IF YOU HAVE A FEVER OR RESPIRATORY SYMPTOMS?
Call Cara Direct Care or for non-members, your own family physician. We can help triage your case and decide if you have a high likelihood of having the virus.
DO NOT COME TO THE OFFICE AND STAY HOME AWAY FROM OTHERS.
TESTING:
At this point (March 6th), Cara Direct Care does not have in office testing and are not set up for this. We cannot get medical grade masks as they have sold out. For now, if we need to test you, we do have to send you to the ER. That may change as the situation progresses.
PLEASE REMEMBER:
If you have signed up for Cara Direct Care, we are here for you through this troubling time and our staff will do our very best to be available for advice and support.
